Founder & Executive Director

Valecia A. Lokey is a passionate youth advocate, mentor, and transformational leader dedicated to empowering teens and young adults to overcome adversity and walk confidently in their purpose. As the Founder and Executive Director of Inspire Your Dreams Foundation, she leads with vision, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to helping the next generation rise.

Growing up in a challenging family environment, Valecia experienced early emotional hardships that tested her confidence and sense of self-worth. Rather than allowing those experiences to define her, she made the intentional decision to turn pain into purpose—beginning with how she raised her own children and expanding into a life of service to others.

Over the years, Valecia has mentored youth through schools, faith-based programs, and community initiatives, equipping them with the tools to build resilience, develop leadership skills, and embrace their unique potential. Her approach is rooted in empowerment, healing, and personal growth—core values that serve as the foundation of Inspire Your Dreams Foundation.

Through her leadership, Valecia continues to create safe, transformative spaces where young people are seen, heard, and inspired to thrive.

Treasurer

Mr. Erik Arline, B.S, brings over 15 years of extensive experience in finance and grants management within the nonprofit sector. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, equipping him with a strong analytical and strategic foundation that supports effective financial oversight and organizational growth.

Currently serving as an Administrator of Research at a leading children’s hospital in the Los Angeles area, Mr. Arline plays a key role in managing complex research funding portfolios, ensuring compliance, and advancing impactful initiatives that support pediatric healthcare innovation.

As Treasurer of Inspire Your Dreams Foundation, Mr. Arline provides critical financial stewardship, helping to ensure transparency, accountability, and long-term sustainability in support of the organization’s mission.

Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Arline is a dedicated father of two young men. He enjoys spending quality time with his sons, staying active through fitness, and embracing his competitive side as an avid bowler.

Secretary and Director of Youth Counseling Initiatives

Kea Scurry, M.S. is a dedicated professional school counselor with a deep passion for supporting the emotional well-being and personal development of youth. With extensive experience working with middle and high school students, she brings a compassionate, student-centered approach to helping young people navigate life’s challenges with confidence and resilience.

As Secretary and Director of Youth Counseling Initiatives for Inspire Your Dreams Foundation, Kea leads efforts to develop and guide programs that support mental wellness, emotional growth, and healthy decision-making. Her commitment to empowering students creates safe, supportive spaces where youth feel seen, heard, and equipped to thrive.

Director of Educational Workshops, Outreach & Engagement

Debbie Thompson, B.S. is a passionate leader and community advocate dedicated to inspiring growth and transformation across all age groups. She has played a key role in the development and facilitation of workshops that serve middle school students, high school youth, and adults, helping individuals build confidence, purpose, and life skills.

As Director of Educational Workshops, Outreach & Engagement for Inspire Your Dreams Foundation, Debbie leads the design and delivery of impactful programs while strengthening community connections and engagement. Her ability to connect with people and foster meaningful experiences makes her an invaluable part of the organization’s mission to uplift and empower.
